Privacy Policy

Overview

CostToLive.com is a free, informational website. We do not require accounts, we do not ask for personal information, and we do not sell data about our visitors. This page explains the limited data that is collected automatically when you use the site.

Analytics

We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

  • Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (city/country level), device type, and referral source. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes this data.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics scripts with your browser or an extension.

Cookies

CostToLive does not set any cookies of its own. The only cookies that may be set come from Google Analytics, as described above. Blocking or deleting these cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

Server Logs & Hosting

The site is served as static pages. Our hosting and content delivery providers may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors.

Third-Party Links

Pages on this site may link to external websites (for example, government data sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how the site collects or uses data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
